ŠThe Ripatti Group 2006
Ethanol Ethanol plants are popping up like mushrooms after a spring rain due to the Energy Policy Act of 2005 which mandates a doubling of ethanol production by 2012 and the phase out of the fuel additive, MTBE. Between General Motors and Ford, they will produce over 650,000 flex-fuel (E85) vehicles per year, starting in 2006. We are always looking for locations that are near abundant corn production, water resources, good highways and rail/and or river access. Sources other than corn may also be used for ethanol production including switchgrass, sugar beets and in the future, nearly anything formerly living through the advent of cellulose-ethanol processes. There are many state and federal tax incentives available to the ethanol producer. Through the Ripatti Group's "Total Integration Process", the co-location of a biomass power plant with an ethanol plant, the client maximizes efficiencies, realizes several income and tax-saving streams and takes advantage of carbon credit sales. For a list of US ethanol facilities, see the Renewable Fuels Association.
